MEMBERSHIP AND INSURANCE FOR 2024

The Salmon & Sea-Trout Recreational Anglers of Ireland offer a great Insurance package. Public liability Insurance to €6,500,000. This is the amount required by most funding bodies. We also offer Personal Accident Insurance for affiliated club members.  We are insured through an Irish Insurance company.  Please contact us on any of the numbers on our website.

It is important for all affiliated clubs to have adequate insurance. SSTRAI offers member to member cover, once off pollution cover and use of boats for SSTRAI club organised events. It is also important to note, boat owners have a responsibility to keep their vessels in good condition and not to exceed boats capacity in terms of passengers, weight or engine size.  Serviceable personal floatation devices or life jackets must be worn at all times while using boats.  In addition, are required to have their own liability insurance to cover damage to their own vessel and engine etc,  or any other person, vessel, pontoon, etc.

SSTRAI will issue club membership cards including insurance details so members can be assured they have adequate cover.  These can be produced to land owners also.  SSTRAI will provide letters of indemnity to land owners in respect of members fishing on their land. These details should be provided along with the membership renewal or application form.

SSTRAI Membership or Renewal application forms for 2024, is available below. Clubs should plan to have cover arranged well in advance of renewal day of March.  SSTRAI anticipate insurance rates will remain the same as for 2023.
